Our innovative approach harnesses the power of collective support through a structured crowdfunding model, where members make a pre-commitment contribution of Rs.100/-, ensuring that financial aid is readily available when it’s needed most.
What is pre-commitment crowdfunding?
Pre-commitment crowdfunding involves individuals who share similar needs and risks agreeing to contribute small amounts (Just Rs.100 only) to support each other if a risk arises.
In simple terms, under a fixed social security program, if you need funds, I will contribute Rs. 100 to you, and if I need funds, you will contribute Rs. 100 to me.
Payments are only made if a risk event occurs. In such cases, all members commit to contributing according to the terms and conditions of the fixed social security program, ensuring support for those affected.”
How It Works
Commitment to Contribute: Every participant in the program (Group) agrees to contribute a small and fixed sum of Rs.100. This minimal contribution is intended to be affordable for all members of a Middle Class Family, while collectively accumulating substantial resources.
Group of Support: By joining the program, you become part of a supportive community of up to 50,000 individuals. If any member is diagnosed with a serious illness requiring cancer treatment, the pooled contributions from the group will be allocated through the crowdfunding initiative to ensure timely care for the affected member. This non-refundable financial assistance will cover actual treatment expenses, capped at a maximum of Rs. 50,00,000/- (calculated as Group Members x Rs. 100).
Comprehensive Coverage: The fund generated from this pre-commitment crowdfunding initiative will cover critical components of cancer treatment, including hospital costs, medication expenses, laboratory testing fees, and, if necessary, travel expenses abroad for advanced therapies. Our goal is to secure up to Rs. 50,00,000/- per case through this program, ensuring that each affected individual can access optimal care without financial barriers.

Who can become a member?
The Cancer Treatment Care Social Security Program by the Flashstar Foundation seeks to offer support and solidarity to middle-class families across India facing the financial challenges of cancer treatment. Our innovative pre-commitment crowdfunding model ensures that even modest contributions from each member can make a significant difference. Here are the steps to become a member and the details involved.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to All Indian Residents: Any Indian resident from a middle-class family is eligible to join. There are no age restrictions, making the program inclusive for all individuals.
No Discrimination: We welcome members from all backgrounds, regardless of caste, color, region, language, or religion. Our aim is to foster a diverse and supportive community.
- Locking Period:
Individuals currently suffering from cancer cannot participate in this social security program. Additionally, if cancer is diagnosed within 10 months of joining, they will be ineligible for benefits from the program.
However, if group members choose to contribute financial assistance to someone diagnosed with cancer, the Flashstar Foundation will offer administrative support for that case.
Membership Details
Membership Fee: To become a member, pay a one-time fee of Rs. 100.
Annual Charges: An annual service and account handling charge of Rs. 100 is required to cover the administrative costs of managing the program.
- Life Membership : If a member pays a one-time annual service and account handling charge of Rs.1000, they will become a lifetime member and will not need to pay any further service charges.
Fee Waivers:
- Shareholders: If you are a shareholder of the Flashstar Foundation, you are exempt from all fees and annual charges.
- Donors: If you have donated Rs.1000 or more to the Flashstar Foundation for any charitable purpose, you are also exempt from all fees and annual charges.
Joining Multiple Programs
Flexible Participation: Once you are a member, you can join one or multiple Social Security Programs without incurring additional fees for each program.
Contribution Requirement: For each Social Security Program you join, you need to maintain a minimum of one “Donation Credit” of Rs. 100 with the Flashstar Foundation. You are welcome to deposit additional “Donation Credits” as you wish.
Amount Utilization : -This “Donation Credit” amount belongs to the members and is used exclusively for donations to affected members.
Minimum Credits: To ensure smooth operation and ongoing support, each member must maintain a minimum of 5 “Donation Credits” (Rs. 100 each) within a year.
